So this past week I had the honor of doing an interview for ABC News. The article highlighted black artists pushing for diversity in a white dominated industry. I will say I have always been on the fence about this narrative and going through the articles comments further heightened my indifference.

I do think we as a whole face diversity issues in every industry but I’m also am a believer in controlling our own narrative. Yes the tattoo industry needs diversity but realistically I am so proud of what we’re doing as a community that I don’t really care if we’re ever fully accepted into what the masses may deem to be the main industry. As a whole we’re doing a pretty awesome job and I will say to those who are on the side of creativity over everything - the future is bright.
